Crocheted Zero by HookedonPlushies Crocheted Zero by HookedonPlushies
My sister's Christmas present this year. Zero, the ghost dog from Nightmare Before Christmas (which is her favorite movie). I found a pattern and modified it quite a bit, especially in the body.

Zero is approximately life-sized (a bit larger than my miniature dachshund!). I made a leash for him using a coat hanger so that my sister can 'walk' Zero.

Pattern can be found (FREE!) here: [link]

It's not overly hard. There are plenty of tutorials online (some even here on dA) that can be very helpful for a beginner.

My best friend & her mom are trying to teach me - my hands don't like cooperating, however :)

I'm the same with knitting (well, the hands part anyways). I CAN knit... just very very slowly, so I tend to stick to crochet. :D I'm hoping to improve in knitting in 2010 as I've found so many neat patterns that are knit.

I'm going to try crochet again, I just need to sit down & work at it (which is unusual for me, as I typically catch on to things quickly). So crochet is on my learn to do list. Good luck with the knitting!
